Chickens, chickens and more chickens.

Many of you may remember that a while back, I told you I went to Chicken Camp. A 5 day workshop in Seabeck Washington.  It really made a huge impact on my timing and thought process in my marking and reinforcement abilities while training dogs.

I came across a great article that I wanted to share on why dog trainers started using chickens for practicing their timing. I found the article very interesting and it put why chickens are used, into better terms than I was capable of explaining it in.

For the fun of it, here are two videos of my chicken training experience. The first video with the poker chips, we are teaching color discrimination.

The second video, we taught the chicken to walk a short agility course and then knock the dice off the edge of the table.

Happy Clucking!!
