Beginning Manners Class ~Thursdays 7:00 pm June 5 – July 3 , 2014 ~ FULL
This class is for any pup, no matter the age, to learn basic manners. We also teach tricks and allow social time at the end of class. (all puppies must have completed their three basic puppy shots usually at 3 months of age)
- Location~ EastLake Veterinary Hospital, 10101 E. NW Hwy, Dallas, TX
- This is a 5 week class, Class fee is $112.50
Continuing Manners/Canine Good Citizen Class ~ Sunday’s 7:00 pm June 1–8, 2014 ….Sundays 5:00 pm June 15 – 29, 2014 ~FULL
In this class we start “chaining” commands. For example, “go to your spot or bed” is a touch, down and stay. Three commands chained together to equal the new command! How cool is that?! Then we will also be going out in public so you and your dog can learn how to put into play all the “stuff” you learned in the basic class.
- Location ~ Tennis Courts on Buckner in-between Mockingbird (white rock lake dog park) and E. NW Hwy (Flag pole hill) for the first two sessions
- Public Locations ~ to be announced in class
- The first two classes will be at 7:00 pm to try and beat some of the heat.
- The last three classes will be at 5:00 so we can utilize locations that close at 6:00.
- This is a 5 week class, Class fee is $112.50
One Hour Workshops:
Can my dog be a Therapy Dog? ~ One Time Class – Sunday June 1 , 8:00 pm
Your dog is super friendly, loves people and you think they are therapy dog material. Come have your dog assessed and learn some of what it takes to get you and your dog ready to take the Therapy Dog test
- This is a one time class – Class fee is $20.00
- Location – Tennis Courts on Buckner in-between Mockingbird (white rock lake dog park) and E. NW Hwy (Flag pole hill)
Fun-gility ~ One Time Class -Sunday June 8, 5:30 pm (No leash reactive dogs in this class please)
Have you heard about the dog sport called agility? Come have fun with your dog and teach them how to go thru a tunnel, jump the hurdles and fly through the tire jump.
- Dogs will be on leash at all times
- This is a one time class – Class fee is $20.00
- Location – Flag Pole Hill
Leash Walking~ One Time Class -Sunday June 8, 8:00 pm (No leash reactive dogs in this class please)
Does you dog get over exuberant while on leash? Do they pull you down the street to see another dog or squirrel? This is the class for you.
- This is a one time class – Class fee is $20.00
- Location – Tennis Courts on Buckner in-between Mockingbird (white rock lake dog park) and E. NW Hwy (Flag pole hill)
Leash Reactivity/Aggression ~One Time Class -Sunday June 22, 7:00 pm
Are you embarrassed to walk your dog because every time they see another dog, person, bike, car, or moving object, they lunge, pull and bark at whatever they see? This one is for you. This is an all time great skill to teach your dog, how to be neutral to items that scare them.
- This is a one time class – Class fee is $20.00
- Location – Tennis Courts on Buckner in-between Mockingbird (white rock lake dog park) and E. NW Hwy (Flag pole hill)
Each class needs to have at least 4 participants registered for the class to make.
